It is no secret that we are big fans of Nutella here at ProCook HQ, so as soon as we spotted this Nutella Hot Chocolate recipe on Pinterest we knew it just had to be a part of our tried and tested piece where we put four popular hot chocolate recipes from the platform to the test in our kitchen, judging them on a number of criteria to find out if they really taste as good as they look. We may be a little biased but we think this one is pretty great and definitely worth a try as it is really easy to make and best of all, you can whip it up in no time!
A great crowd pleaser for all the family, this recipe from Celebrating Sweets only calls for a few ingredients that you probably already have in your cupboards. As simple a recipe as they come, this is a case of chuck it all in, mix it together and heat it up so it’s perfect for those a little less confident in the kitchen who are just as deserving of a winter warmer when the weather’s chilly. Be warned – as soon as the Nutella hits the pan the nutty fragrance will fill the house with its deep, rich smell so be prepared for anyone else in the house to wander into the kitchen looking for a taste!
This is a really delicious treat that is perfect served in our double walled latte glasses, and although we kept things simple by topping with a mound of whipped cream and a sprinkling of chocolate curls you could really go to town with the decorations on this one to make it a true performance piece if serving for your guests. As the hot chocolate is served immediately the cream will melt quite quickly due to the heat of the drink underneath (so should you want to take a photo of your masterpiece you’ll have to act fast), but your fingers will be kept cool thanks to the clever double walled design of our latte glasses making enjoying your creation a breeze.
