Spiced Mulled Cider
We've all tried mulled wine at Christmas, but have you ever sipped on a glass of warm spiced mulled cider on a crisp autumn evening?
- 400 ml apple juice
- 75 g dark brown sugar
- 1½ litre Henry Westons Cloudy Vintage Cider
- Peel of 1 orange
- 4 whole cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tbsp ground allspice
- 1 medium orange slices
- 1 medium apple slices
Add the apple juice, dark brown sugar and cider into a casserole dish. Pour in the orange peel, cloves, cinnamon sticks and ground allspice and transfer to the hob.
Mix and gently simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the orange and apple slices and continue to mull for 20 minutes.
Remove from the heat and serve immediately.
