ProCook Blueberry Cobbler Recipe

Our oven-to-table dishes are put to great use with a homely dessert like cobbler. Cobbler is a popular dish from across the pond that has a distinctly British vibe with its crunchy topping and fruity flavour. One thing is guaranteed with this dish – there won’t be any leftovers!

To make this recipe you’ll need a medium sized oven dish roughly 20cm in length and width and 2 mixing bowls.

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 190 C / Gas 5.
  2. Mix blueberries, sugar and orange juice straight in the oven dish and set aside
  3. In a mixing bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt
  4. In another mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  5. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients stirring until combined to make a batter
  7. Use a spoon to drop batter rounds over the blueberries, spacing the batter out as best possible. The batter will spread during the cooking process.
  8. Bake in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until bubbly and golden
  9. Serve with vanilla ice cream
