Instructions
  1. Cut the meat into chunks and put in a pan with ample, boiling water.
  2. Once boiled, add half a tsp of salt, carrots, pearl barley, swede, onions, thyme and bay leaf.
  3. Allow to simmer for 2 hours.
  4. Add the potatoes and allow to slowly simmer.
  5. After 20 minutes, add the leeks and continue simmering for another 10 minutes.
